“According to market data, fuel prices are expected to fall by around seven cents per litre of diesel and five cents per litre of gasoline next week”, said Fernando Medina.
Taking into account the weekly mechanism for reviewing the values of the ISP unit rates, this price evolution would “determine an increase” in the unit rates of the Petroleum Products Tax (ISP).
However, and taking into account the current context, the Government “chose to defer this adjustment to the moment when the ISP is reduced by the application of the formula”.
