A fire that broke out at around 12:30 pm in Meixomil, Paços de Ferreira, is causing “greater concerns” as it is close to an industrial area, a source from the District Operations Command of Relief (CDOS) in Porto told Lusa.

According to the source, “there are no villages at risk for now”, but the fire is “very intense”.
“More means are being requested to fight this fire, which is approaching an industrial zone”, he added.
At 14:30, according to the National Civil Protection Authority, 101 operational personnel were on the ground, supported by 26 vehicles and four air assets.
