TAP was the target of a cyberattack on the night of August 25th, the airline confirmed in a statement, guaranteeing that "TAP's security mechanisms were promptly activated and unauthorised access blocked".

Throughout the night and into the early morning, TAP teams carried out an investigation into the attack. "Operational integrity is guaranteed, so there is no risk to flight safety", stated TAP.

The statement also adds that "nothing has been found that allows us to conclude that there was undue access to customer data".
