Jorge
Serafim is the guest of honour for the 4th edition of Contos ao Luar (Moonlight
Storytelling), promoted by Vilamoura International School (CIV), which will
take place next Friday, September 23rd. Don't miss this evening, entrance free,
dedicated to storytelling lovers - children and adults (with an inner child) -
where music, flavours of the world and stories will have their special place,
starting at 6 pm.
After the
first editions, held in 2014, 2016 and 2018 and after a pause imposed by the
pandemic Contos ao Luar are coming back and bring Serafim. This will be a
revisit, as the guest of honour marked the first edition of this bi-annual
event, which has already brought to CIV names such as Luís Carmelo, Sofia Maul,
Patrícia Amaral (Tixa), Thomas Bakk, and Rodolfo Castro.
Owner of a
peculiar Alentejo accent, Serafim is a storyteller, reading mediator, humourist
and writer and has told stories to audiences of all ages, both in and outside
the country. He has several published books and was recently the curator of
Palavras Andarilhas event, which takes place in the city where he was born:
Beja.
This
celebration, which is already a tradition at the Vilamoura International
School, has as its main purpose to promote storytelling and to capture the
audience with the magic of stories, which stimulate our emotional, cognitive,
experiential and creative dimensions.
Educators,
teachers, parents, students and storytellers will be waiting for your visit to
CIV!
