In a statement, ASAE said that the arrests related to the
sale of two tickets, one with a face value of 40 euros and another of 65 euros,
for which values of 250 euros and 200 euros were being requested, with profit
margins of up to 500%.
The tickets, which were being sold online, were for the Champions
League game between Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain, at Estádio da Luz, in
Lisbon.
ASAE warns consumers “that they should avoid purchasing
tickets above their official value, since this sale constitutes a crime of
speculation or irregular sale of tickets, punishable by imprisonment for up to
three years”.
