At the top of the list is Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, with
Tbilisi in Georgia coming in second and Lisbon in third.
Lisbon ranks third overall, with a higher cost of living
(£1,367) and average rent cost (£865) than the two cities ranked above it and
an average salary of £959, according to the ranking from Preply.
“Internet speeds are much faster in Lisbon, however, at 29
Mbps - which is great for remote workers who need a high-speed connection to
work. The lively city also boasts 476 activities to enjoy in the local area,
such as city tours and river cruises. In terms of safety, Lisbon has a city
safety index score of 70.87 out of 120 so it’s one of the safer destinations
for expats in our ranking”.
What global ranking? How can you use specific information in an article without stating its source. Also based on the numbers provided, the cost of living in Lisbon is higher than the average salary. These numbers appear correct based on my research and is why all expats need to try to move to Portugal already with an international salary because most of them will be shocked for the Portuguese salaries of they are ignorant of them. Of course it employment is not a concern, then pay does not matter. The name of the ranking/survey would also help readers like myself independently compare how Porto and other cities around the world rank as we do our research and scouting before moving across the globe to what is supposed to be expat heaven for us.

What is this constant publicity for Lisboa ? It is a nice city, for people with money, but the mass tourism diminishes a lot of the charm, and of course you have to avoid the suburbs, filled with ugly, huge, miserable and cheap flats, where the mass of Lisboa workers have to live, on a wage of 800 EUR per month.
