According to the IPMA, the districts of Viana do Castelo,
Braga, Porto and Aveiro are under a yellow warning (the third most serious)
until 12:00, while in Vila Real, Bragança, Coimbra, Leiria, Viseu, Guarda and
Castelo White notice will be in effect until 09:00.
According to IPMA forecasts, the Cláudio depression should
not affect Portugal directly, but a cold frontal depression associated with it
will influence the weather today, with periods of rain, sometimes heavy,
expected to occur in the North and Centre regions until late in the morning.
A temporary increase in wind intensity is also foreseen on
the North and Central coast and in the highlands, with gusts of up to 70 km/h
and up to 80 km/h, respectively.
The minimum temperatures will vary between 6º (Bragança and
Guarda) and 17º (Faro), and the maximum between 13º (Guarda) and 22º (Faro and
Sagres).
