“Unfortunately, the delay in choosing the solution to expand Lisbon's capacity is leading to the refusal of flights for next year. We estimate that there are 730 thousand places that will not be carried out and some of them concern places on routes that serve hubs and that could have provided increased connectivity to Lisbon airport. It is urgent that this problem be solved”, said Thierry Ligonnière.
Ligonnière said that ANA is “doing everything” to improve the operational part of the airport and be more productive.
Just take TAP out that the airport becomes way less 'congested'.

Ligonnière said that ANA is “doing everything” to improve the operational part of the airport and be more productive. The issue isn't the airport so much as the management. The Lisboa airport is a failure just like TAP, Novo Banco, SEF, and most other institutions in Portugal. All due to the lack of proper organization and management. People just don't care to solve problems in Portugal.
