I would like to share with you how I’m living my best life since I have moved to Portugal.
I am an entrepreneur who loves to travel and invest in real estate in different countries.
In April 2019, one of my sisters and I came to Portugal to attend a “Live and Invest Seminar” in Carvoeiro, by the seaside. It was so beautiful, immediately we fell in love with Portugal.
We said to each other “I want to move here.”
In March 2020, I started to look for a place to buy, since I was not there it was kind of hard, then someone I knew told me that they had a family member Ariana who lived in Portugal and she was a realtor, so I got in touch with her, she was awesome, she would go look at properties, show me videos and advise me on whether it would be a good investment or not.
In September 2020, I purchased a brand new built 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo, with a roof top pool, in Lagos a city in the Algrave, where there is sunshine 300 days per year.
In November 2021, I came to Portugal for 90 days because that’s the length of time a visitor can stay. From November to February, the weather in Lagos was so beautiful, people were wearing shorts and tee shirts.
I submitted my application in March 2022, for my D7 visa and it was approved in June. I was already packed and ready to go.
My appointment for my SEF interview was in September. The interview process went smoothly and in November I received my two-year residency card.
For me Portugal has everything, it has so many opportunities for investments, especially real estate. The people are very kind and nice, the health care system is fantastic, beautiful beaches, fresh food, great weather, and easy access to so many countries. Since I came back, I went to Seville (by car), Madrid, Santorini, Cabo Verde, Athens, Istanbul, and Cyprus. Even Portugal itself has so many beautiful cities to visit and enjoy.
I love Portugal most of all for the quality of life, and the cost of living which is very low. A three-course lunch meal, costs 9 euros. I wake up every morning with a smile on my face. I enjoy watching the older couples going for walks and holding hands, children going home from school hugging each other and playing together.
Moving to a new country where English is not the Primary language is challenging but English is spoken all over Portugal.
Being an entrepreneur as I am, I decided to start a business that would help others who are desiring to move to Portugal and live their best life, Ariana also wanted to help others liked she helped me, so ALARSA was created.
