The well-known website LinkedIn which is used by many Irish to apply for jobs has reported a fall in the availability of remote working opportunities. According to the company, only 10.5% of listings on the website offered remote working, down from 48.2% last year.
Ireland still offers the most remote working jobs within the European Union and also hybrid options.
LinkedIn reported that 42% of all paid jobs offered the hybrid listing in Ireland. Since the Covid Pandemic work-life balance has become top of businesses and employers’ importance when applying for or promoting the company.
LinkedIn Irelands Country Manager Sharon McCooey said: “Our data reflects the growing trend of companies offering hybrid options as a solution to balancing employees’ need for greater flexibility, while at the same time ensuring you don’t lose that element of collective culture and community that is hard to establish with a fully remote workforce.”
