“We continuously review all of our products so that they better meet our customers' needs, giving them as much choice and flexibility as possible and ensuring they don't pay for things they don't need”, states the airline.
easyJet explains that, with these changes, the Up Front and Extra Legroom seats no longer include the transport of a large cabin bag, but now allow all passengers to transport a small cabin bag, with dimensions 45 x 36 x 20 cm, which must be placed under the front seat.
Despite the change, easyJet continues to allow passengers to add a large cabin bag, simply by purchasing a large cabin bag independently, booking a Standard Plus package or a FLEXI rate, and it is still possible to use easyJet Plus membership.
easyJet explains, however, that passengers who have already purchased Up Front and Extra Legroom seats before this change, continue to be entitled to transport a large cabin bag, in accordance with the booking conditions.
The information released by easyJet also announces changes to easyJet Plus, the airline's card that entitles you to various benefits, such as Speedy boarding, assigned seats and Fast Track, ensuring that the large cabin bag that these customers can carry will no longer go to the hold.
“In the past, due to limited overhead locker space, if there wasn't enough space on your flight, we might have had to put your bag in the hold. As of June 19, we have changed”, according to the airline, which explains that in addition to a large piece of luggage, passengers can transport a small cabin bag free of charge.
This is a big price increase, EasyJet ripping off passengers again.
