The Co Meath native Sharon Horgan is a nominee for the 75th Emmy Awards in the categories of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.
Horgan is one of three writers up for an award, along with Dave Finkel and Brett Baer. The three are competing with the writers for “Andor,” “Better Call Saul,” “The Last of Us,” “Succession,” and “The White Lotus.”
The Irish actor and writer also got nominated for best Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series category.
“Bad Sisters” is also up for awards in the categories of Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series (Nina Gold and Lucy Amos) and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Dearbhla Walsh). Unexpectedly, neither “Bad Sisters” nor any of the other ensemble cast members received actor nominations for Outstanding Drama Series.
Today, July 12, the Hollywood Athletic Club unveiled the nominees for the 75th Emmy Awards. The nominees this year had the biggest voter engagement in Emmy history, with over 20,000 voting members of the Academy.
On Monday, September 18, live coverage of the 75th Emmy Awards from the Peacock Theatre at L.A. LIVE will air on FOX.
