This is the “second consecutive time that real increases in wages have been recorded since November 2021”, highlights the National Institute of Statistics (INE) this Thursday.

In nominal terms, the total average monthly gross remuneration per employee increased by 6.7%, to 1,539 euros in the reference period and in homologous terms. The regular component and the base component of that remuneration rose by 6.8% and 7.2%, standing at 1,215 euros and 1,144 euros, respectively.

“In real terms, taking the variation of the Consumer Price Index as a reference, the total average monthly gross remuneration increased by 2.4%, as well as its regular component, while the base component increased by 2.7%”.
