The Handicraft, Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry Fair of Lagoa (FATACIL) “is a fair for the whole family” and this year “will cover the largest area ever”, said Luís Encarnação, mayor of Lagoa.

The event, which ends on the 27th of August, is presented as being “the biggest of its kind south of the Tagus” and brings together in the same space and program “everything that families need to spend unique moments, including musical shows, equestrian shows, gastronomy, street entertainment, crafts, commerce and industry”.

The venue for the 42nd edition of the fair will have over 9,000 square meters of area, around 700 exhibitors, dozens of musicians, dozens of musical shows, hundreds of points of interest and a "Fun Zone", with the organization hoping to have, an average of more than 20,000 visitors per day.

New features for 2023 include a daily parade at the opening of the fair, a screen with live footage from the event and an interactive “quiz show” in the food court.

The headliners of FATACIL 2023 are artists including Richie Campbell, Diogo Piçarra, Badoxa, Toy, Quim Barreiros, Chico da Tina, Miguel Araújo, Os Quatro e Meia, Bárbara Tinoco and Marisa, accompanied by Orquestra do Algarve.
