In some districts, the rate of increase was much higher: in Portalegre, for example, the increase was 33%. In others, valuations were lower than the national average, as in the cases of Beja, Bragança and Porto. Even so, renting a room in Porto costs students, on average, 425 euros per month, and, in the capital, 450 euros per month.

The newspaper also highlights Setúbal, Faro and Aveiro, where student accommodation costs range from 320 to 350 euros. Guarda, Bragança and Castelo Branco are the locations where it is more affordable for a student to rent a room, with prices ranging between 150 and 190 euros.
