Dedicated to the tastes of the sea, particularly to barnacles, this festival, according to the report by Postal, promises a culinary experience full of mussels, limpets, razors, octopus, fried eel, and others.

Beyond the town’s gastronomic specialties, the event, happening next to the local middle school, also counts with an area for sweets sellers and exhibitors of regional products and craftsmanship.

The event is in its 9th edition, organised this year by the Vila do Bispo council in partnership with the Vila do Bispo and Costa Vicentina Shellfish Gatherer Association, will also include musical performances to entertain guests. As such, on the 1st day the show “A Kind of Queen – Queen Tribute” will play, and on the 2nd day the party will be marked by the performance of Festa M80, and Adiafa will close the last day.

This initiative looks to essentially liven the local community, attract tourists and dynamise the local economy through one of the region’s largest food suppliers.

Tickets are on sale at ticketline.pt, at the local municipal building’s treasury (until 3pm on September 1st), and at the festival ticket stand.
