Following the news that renting a property in Portugal is now €514 more expensive than last year, an increase of 43%, the most affordable places to rent have been revealed.

According to the Imovirtual portal, in general, Guarda (€480), Portalegre (€604), Viseu (€685) and Castelo Branco (€713) are the cheapest districts to rent a house in August.
Lisbon remains the most expensive, with an average rent above two thousand euros (2,471€), followed by Faro (1,533€), Setúbal (1,384€) and Porto (1,370€).
