The seasonal vaccination campaign against flu and covid-19 autumn/winter 2023/2024 starts on September 29, three days after National Pharmacists' Day.

According to the OF, over the last few days, thousands of pharmacists with active competence in the Administration of Vaccines and Injectable Medicines have attended the training provided to update their knowledge about the new vaccine against Covid-19.

This year, this vaccine will be administered for the first time in community pharmacies, to people aged 60 and over, together or separately with the flu vaccine.

In addition to the extension of the vaccination service in pharmacies to the covid-19 vaccine, chronic therapy renewal services and hospital medication dispensing services in close proximity were also recently regulated, which the OF considers "a clear sign of the contribution of pharmacists communities for access to health services provided in coordination and complementarity with the National Health Service (SNS)".
