The Azorean executive justifies the “adjustment of the maximum public sale price” of fuels with “recent variations in the international market in reference prices for petroleum and energy products”.

In two months, gasoline increased by 9.8 cents per litre in the Azores and diesel by 18.5 cents per litre.

After rising 9.1 cents per litre at the beginning of September, the price of diesel increased again (9.4 cents), standing at 1.539 euros per litre.

Gasoline registered an increase equal to that seen in September (4.9 cents), now costing 1.633 euros per litre.

The maximum prices of petroleum and energy products in the Azores are "changed on the 1st of each month and in amounts equivalent to the variation in the value of the monthly Europe Price (PE)”.
