According to a statement released today, the yellow warning due to the persistence of very high maximum temperature values will remain in force until 11pm on Tuesday in the districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, Braga, Coimbra , Leiria, Lisbon and Santarém.

In Madeira and Porto Santo, the orange warning remains in place until 9pm on Tuesday due to the heat, which then drops to yellow until 11pm on Wednesday.

For today, the IPMA predicts slightly cloudy skies, with a small drop in temperature in the South.

Forecasts indicate that minimum temperatures will vary between 13ºC (Braga, Vila Real and Bragança) and 22ºC (Portalegre) and maximum temperatures between 27ºC (Sines) and 37ºC (Santarém).
