The IPMA alert is valid between 15:00 and 23:00 this Friday, for the districts of Viseu, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga.

The IPMA highlighted that precipitation is returning to mainland Portugal from this Friday, with “the hot and dry weather of recent weeks” giving way to “rainy weather and a drop in temperature”.

“Rainfall is expected to occur initially on the North coast, which will gradually extend to the entire territory, and in the South region it will be more likely on the 14th”.

The maximum air temperature values will register a decrease this Friday, between 4 and 8°C, especially in the North, Center and Alto Alentejo regions and should continue to decrease on the 14th and 15th of October throughout the country.

“The minimum temperature values are expected to have insignificant variations, although with an equal tendency to decrease”, the IPMA also said.
