“Ikea Portugal's sales are a reflection of the growing importance of the home in people's lives and also of our continuous investment in improving our customers' shopping experience”, comments Helen Duphorn, who leads the Swedish chain in Portugal, quoted in a statement.

Ikea Portugal assures that it “remains committed” to its strategy in the country, “despite all external constraints, and the current context of economic and geopolitical instability”. The brand has 60 million euros to invest in Portugal in the 2024 fiscal year, which began on September 1, and during which it will celebrate its 20th anniversary in the country.

“A large part of this investment is therefore directed towards reducing prices: based on the solid results achieved in the fiscal year 2023, Ikea Portugal recently announced an investment of 13 million euros to reduce the prices of its products throughout the current financial year”.
