The project is a component of the €50 million revitalisation project for Our Balbriggan.
Increased social and commercial activity at the port and across the town is the goal of the development of new harbour buildings and the conversion of the existing RNLI Boathouse.
The project will also involve redesigning parking and traffic patterns, as well as improving the River Bracken with new pavement, more seats, greenery, and play areas.
It is projected that work will start in March 2024 and that the project will be finished in December 2025.
We encourage drivers who will be impacted by the Quay Street parking lot closure to walk, bike, or take public transportation.
Balbriggan will be remodelled as a result of Quay Street and the Harbour renovation, according to Cllr Adrian Henchy, the mayor of Fingal.
"This creation is both beautiful and intricate. He remarked, "I am really excited to see it through to completion.
The town's rejuvenation effort is mostly guided by the Our Balbriggan leadership group, which was established at the beginning of the programme and is presided over by Professor Brian MacCraith.
“It is wonderful see the €15million redevelopment works at Quay Street and the Harbour going to the final tender stage,” said Professor MacCraith.
“These works will form part of the transformation of the town through the Balbriggan rejuvenation programme.”
