Fuel prices will rise next week, due to the rise in oil prices due to the conflict in the Middle East. A market source told ECO that diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal, is expected to rise by 2 cents and gasoline by 2.5 cents.

From Monday onwards, when you go to fill up, you will have to pay 1,731 euros per liter of straight diesel and 1,785 euros per liter of straight 95 gasoline, taking into account the average values practiced at the pumps on Mondays, published by the General Energy and Geology (DGEG) Management.

These prices already take into account the discounts applied by gas stations and the review of temporary tax measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices. The Government increased“discounts” on fuel, by two cents per liter on diesel and one cent per liter on gasoline. In this way, the tax reduction determined by the measures currently in force is 25 cents per liter of diesel and 26 cents per liter of gasoline.
