The 76 best books of the past ten years were listed on the website, which allows users to submit their own evaluations. The rankings were based on the number of members who indicated a book as “read,” “currently reading,” or “want to read.”
The list includes novels, self-help books, historical fiction, thrillers, autobiographies, and works by well-known authors from the US, UK, Ireland, Japan, and other countries.
Rooney's Normal People, Beautiful World Where Are You, and Conversations With Friends topped the list after seeing great popularity on a global scale.
Towards the end of the list was also the contentious memoir by British Prince Harry, Spare, which for the first time shares his personal experience of self-reflection, his connection with his family, and coping with bereavement.
First place went to American author Taylor Jenkins Reid's Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, a book about an aged former Hollywood actress who chooses to give her last interview to an unidentified journalist.
Paula Hawkins's smash thriller The Girl On The Train, which was adapted into an Emily Blunt movie, came in second place, followed in third place by Delia Owens' Where the Crawdads Sing, which was later adapted into a Daisy Edgar-Jones movie.
