This year, the Henry St. market will have fifty-one vendors and operate seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., concluding on Christmas Eve.

When shoppers visit the market this year, they can anticipate seeing toys, Christmas gifts, decorations, and “a lot, lot more.” Dublin City Council is happy to witness the revival of the city's beloved Christmas custom.

“Nearly as much a part of Christmas as the tree is the Henry St./Mary St. market!” stated Mr. de Róiste.

“Seeing all the traders returning is a wonderful sight. They've been here for as long as I can remember, and around this time of year, they always contribute to the wonderful festive mood. They play a big role in the Christmas shopping experience in city centres.

“With a rich history spanning generations, this is the oldest Christmas market in the city and a beloved tradition for many Dubliners.” May it last for a very long time!

“It is wonderful to see these city centre markets continuing to offer great produce and gifts for everyone, especially at Christmas with a brilliant programme of entertainment and bringing colour and character to the city,” said Frank Lambe, the council's city centre manager, during his speech at the market's launch.

One of the longest-running outdoor food markets in the nation, Temple Bar Food Market, is also undergoing a facelift this holiday season with the addition of new vendors, customer outdoor eating areas, festive entertainment and much more.

The reopening of this Meeting House Square market, which has been serving both local and foreign customers for over 30 years, is being managed by Niamh Murphy, a native of Temple Bar and a former pastry chef.

“Our vision is to create a dynamic and diverse culinary destination that reflects the rich tapestry of flavours found throughout the globe,” Ms. Murphy stated. There is plenty to tempt every palette, from street food delights to exquisite treats, guaranteeing a dining experience that is unmatched for both casual guests and culinary lovers. We would be happy to hear from any new food vendors who would like to enter the market.

The Discovery Gospel Choir, the Ukulele Orchestra, the Garda Band, and the "Christmas at Moore St Market Live Show" are among the acts scheduled for the Moore St. Market's Christmas entertainment lineup.

From November 29 to December 23, every Wednesday through Saturday, Moore Street Market will host the Christmas event. The market is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Temple Bar Company oversees both the Moore St. Market and the Temple Bar Food, Craft & Book Market on behalf of Dublin City Council.
