According to John David Sports Fashion (Ireland) Ltd.'s most recent financial statements, the company had a rise in pre-tax earnings during the year that ended on January 28, 2018, with revenues increasing by 14.5% to €216.44 million from €189.03 million.

There were still 22 locations for the sports retailer.

Pre-tax profits for the company were €19.56 million as opposed to €18.76 million in the previous year. In the 12 months ending on January 28th of last year, the company distributed an interim dividend of €30 million.

The company "will continue to exercise strong cost controls and leverage its store portfolio to improve market share and protect margin," according to the board.

They go on to say, "The company continued to put in place mitigating activities to combat the impacts of the cost of living crisis with the support of the parent company, JD Sports Fashion Plc."

The company now operates a 65,000 square foot dedicated warehouse in the northwest of Dublin, where it supplies goods to retail locations and handles online orders throughout the Republic of Ireland.

Selling and administrative costs climbed from €66.22 million to €76.64 million, while the company's cost of sales increased from €100.5 million to €115.34 million. The amount spent on administration dropped from €3.47 million to €3.33 million.

Operating profits for the company were €21.1 million, while interest expenses of €1.59 million caused profits to drop to €19.56 million.

This retailer's network of stores includes locations in Dublin as well as Athlone, Carlow, Drogheda, Dundalk, Waterford, Wexford, Galway, Limerick, Newbridge, Killarney, and Cork.

After paying a corporate tax of €2.66 million, the company made a post-tax profit of €16.9 million.

Employee numbers climbed from 952 to 1,094 this year, while staff expenses jumped from €12.99 million to €19.97 million.

This year's profit includes €10 million in non-cash depreciation expenses.

The company has €25 million in shareholder money by the end of January 2023. Cash on hand for the business climbed to €73.48 million from €59.64 million.

JD Sports reported £10.12 million in revenues globally during the same review year, with a rise in pre-tax earnings from £947 million to £991 million.

With £3.7 billion in revenue, the combined "UK and Republic of Ireland" is the company's largest market. North America comes in second with £3.1 billion in revenue.
