Fernando Santos has been named as our football team's coach. On their official website, the club wished him a warm welcome to his new job.

The Istanbul team reports that the technical team would be led by former Portugal and Greece coach João Costa, with compatriots Paulo Mendes, Fernando Justino, Ricardo Santos, and Jorge Rosário.

After Senol Gunes, Burak Yilmaz, and Riza Calimbay, Fernando Santos is the club's fourth coach this season and will be paired with Portuguese player Gedson Fernandes in the Besiktas team.

With periods in the Portuguese and Greek championships and without managing a club since 2010, the Portuguese coach will embark on his first experience in Turkish football, having not been in a position since September 13, 2023, the day he was ousted from his job as Poland's national coach.

After leading the Portuguese national team to victory in both the 2019 Nations League and Euro2016, the coach left on December 15, 2022. He had been in charge of the squad since 2014.
