According to the Algarve Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command, a doctor from the emergency and resuscitation medical vehicle (VMER) declared the death of a 27-year-old man, of Ukrainian nationality.

The incident mobilised eight vehicles and 20 firefighters from Portimão, the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) and the PSP, who have already left the scene.
