Boyzone's Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, and Keith Duffy, together with Brian McFadden from Westlife, will be present at Chorley's FA Trophy home match against Solihull Moors on Saturday.

"We're looking at continuing ongoing negotiations in relation to their involvement with the club and ultimately becoming a shareholder within the club and the face of Chorley Football Club, effectively," said Tom Clarke, the chief operating officer of Chorley, to BBC Lancashire.

Shane actually kind of grew from there after he attended a few games and appreciated what we were doing. They are travelling down on Saturday and are rather pleased about it.

At Chorley's Victory Park, 4,100 spectators may watch. In the National League North, they are presently ranked sixth.

"This collaboration with Boyzone is part of ongoing discussions that could see them becoming the face of the football club," said a statement from Chorley.

"This is a game-changer that could put our town on the map and generate attention and buzz that will highlight Chorley and the surrounding area like never before.
