Over the weekend of February 24 and 25, Pine Cliffs Resort will host the 13th edition of the Winners’ Cup, an event dedicated to golf and tennis. During these two days, the resort will host a national sporting competition, an exclusive meeting for players who participated, throughout the year, in golf and tennis tournaments promoted by Pine Cliffs Resort.
The first day of the Winners’ Cup 2024, February 24, will be a day full of free activities for competition participants. At 10am the Golf Clinic begins, at the Golf Academy, as well as the Padel Clinic with Diogo Schaefer, a padel player who was part of the national team in 2018. At 2pm, it will be the turn of Annabel Croft, a former British professional tennis player, to lead the Tennis Clinic.
The Winners’ Cup 2024 golf grand final takes place on Sunday, February 25th, at 8:30 am, with an 18-hole tournament, while the tennis semi-final and/or grand final starts at 9 am. The award ceremony takes place on Sunday, over lunch, in the Pinhal Hall.
There will also be two friendly tournaments held at the Pine Cliffs Resort over the weekend: on Saturday there will be a friendly 9-hole golf tournament, starting at 2:30 pm. On Sunday, at 10 am, Diogo Schaefer will coordinate the friendly padel tournament. The entire amount raised goes towards the social project – Somos Mais, an initiative promoted by UIP that aims to benefit social entities in the regions where it operates. This year the amount raised will go to Apatris21, the association of Trisomy 21 Patients in the Algarve.
Anyone who wants to be part of the 2025 edition of the Winners' Cup now has the opportunity to sign up for the weekly golf and tennis tournaments that take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, respectively, between April and October, at the Pine Cliffs Golf Course and at the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy. The winners of the weekly tournaments are eligible for the 14th edition of the Winners' Cup in 2025 where they will face the best of the best.
