The respective event, in which around two dozen large companies in the tourism, hotel, and restaurant sectors will participate, takes place on 20 March. The initiative aims to teach students about recruitment proposals and internship programs, through online meetings, physical exhibition stands and Workshops.

At the event’s 8th edition, major companies such as Grupo Pestana, Grupo IMB, Eurosol, Juvigo, Aqua Village and New Life will be represented. For the companies participating virtually via Zoom, 15 minutes will be given to them so they can present their internships and recruiting programs to the students interested. For those physically present at the initiative, the advantage will be in the face-to-face interaction.

The focus of the event, which will last for three hours, will also be on how to build your CV – in both Portuguese and English – as well as how to prepare yourself for a job interview. According to the teachers, ESTH is putting a lot of effort into connecting its students and school practices with national partners.

Alexandre Martins, director of The Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality of Seia believes that this initiative organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda (IPG), provides “ESTH students to not only learn about the recruitment processes of the largest hotel chains and other companies in the tourism sector operating in Portugal, but also get opportunities for internships or first jobs in these business groups.”
