With three more locations set to open in the upcoming year, this will be the retailer's sixth Plan and Order Point in Ireland.
On Friday, April 19, the new shop will open in Sligo's The Canopy, formerly known as Johnston Court Shopping Centre, which received a €1 million facelift and rebranding last year.
Plan and Order Points are speciality stores created to provide clients kitchen and wardrobe planning services as well as in-depth guidance and knowledge on home furnishings.
According to the Swedish furniture manufacturer, the Sligo location will have two PAX wardrobe options, six distinct kitchens, a home furnishings design space, and an appliance studio.
It stated that clients may begin their design with one of the four professionals on staff by just dropping by or making an appointment.
Next, items from the whole IKEA inventory may be ordered and delivered straight to the customer's house or another place of their choosing.
IKEA debuted Plan and Order in Naas in 2021, with further locations opening in Cork, Drogheda, Carlow, and Dublin's St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre.
“Beyond kitchen planning, these locations serve as an ideal hub for assisting individuals who live a distance from our Ballymun store, whether they're looking to order a new sofa, wardrobe, or any other IKEA product,” Martyn Allan, Market Manager for IKEA Ireland, stated.
