The Portuguese Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (SPAIC) has warned allergy patients about the moderate to high risk of pollen concentration in the atmosphere in mainland Portugal from today onwards.

In the Polling Bulletin for the week of May 10th to 16th, SPAIC indicates that high risk is expected for the regions of Beira Interior, Lisbon, Setúbal, Alentejo, and Algarve.
However, in the regions of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Entre Douro e Minho, and Beira Litoral the forecast is for a low to moderate risk because the precipitation expected from Monday could reduce the concentration of pollen.
