According to data reported by idealista, there are few houses with a swimming pool for sale in the country, as only 11.2% of properties advertised on the real estate platform in June have this extra.
When analyzing the prices of properties with or without a pool, it becomes clear that it is in Évora where the difference is greatest, as houses with a pool are 86% more expensive. Also in Setúbal, apartments with a swimming pool are 85.7% more expensive than homes for sale without this facility.
The differences in the prices of houses for sale with and without a swimming pool are also high in Lisbon (65.4% more expensive), Castelo Branco (55.3%), Coimbra (49%), Ponta Delgada (46.2%), Braga (40.4%), Aveiro (36.4%) and Beja (33.8%). Already with a price difference of less than 30% comparing houses for sale with and without a pool are Porto (28.8%), Viseu (20.1%), Faro (16.9%), Funchal (14.1% ) Leiria, (11.1%) and Vila Real (1.7%).
The truth is that there is a limited supply of houses with a swimming pool for sale in Portugal, which may also explain the fact that houses with this extra are much more expensive. It is in Funchal where there are the most apartments for sale with a swimming pool (43.9%), followed by Faro (23.8%). All other cities analyzed have a supply of houses with swimming pools of less than 10%: Lisbon (9.9%), Ponta Delgada (7.1%), Évora (6.8%), Porto (6.5%), Braga (4.5%), Beja (2.4%), Leiria (1.6%), Coimbra (1.5%), Castelo Branco (1.1%) and Aveiro (1%).
With less than 1% of the supply of apartments with swimming pools for sale are the cities of Vila Real (0.9%), Setúbal (0.7%) and Viseu (0.2%), data from idealista also shows.
