Between 13 and 15 September, the town will become the epicentre of fun and culture, with a programme packed with entertainment, live music and traditions.

“The festival begins on Friday, 13 September, with the celebrations of Municipal Day, a moment of enormous importance for the region and its people, celebrating the identity and pride of Alcoutim”, highlights the Alcoutim local authority in a statement, adding that the “ceremonies are a landmark that pays tribute to local history and culture, setting the tone for a weekend full of memorable events”.

The main stage of the Alcoutim Festival will shine with performances by three big names in Portuguese music.

On Friday, Michael Carreira will take to the stage for a night that promises to be full of emotion and great hits.

On Saturday, it will be Toy's turn to bring his contagious energy, with a concert that promises to get everyone dancing.

To close with a flourish, on Sunday, SYRO.

“The 71st Alcoutim Festival is much more than music! There will also be moments dedicated to tradition, such as the water sports events on Sunday and the always lively Pau de Sebo. There will be no shortage of the usual street entertainment, which fills the streets with life and colour, and, of course, the fair. This year, with the younger ones in mind, we will also have children's entertainment”, the local authority guarantees.

This year, the Alcoutim Festival brings something new, a pyromusical show with multimedia. On Saturday night, there will be “a show of lights, colours and sound that combines the traditional fireworks with multimedia elements, creating an absolutely unmissable visual and sound experience. This show has always been one of the festival's great attractions, and this year, with technological innovation, it promises to take the experience to a new level”.
