More Algarve beaches “not recommended” for swimming

According to news published on the Algarve Primeiro website, bathing on the beaches of Quarteira and Vilamoura is not recommended due to microbiological contamination in the water, as happened yesterday on the beaches of Fuseta-Ria and Armação de Pêra, according to information provided by the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA).

The decision to ban swimming by the authorities is based on water samples that revealed the presence of E.coli bacteria in the case of Fuseta-Ria and enterococci in the case of Armação de Pera.
