Germany’s inflation rate in September dropped to its lowest level in over three years, primarily due to a decrease in energy prices.

According to initial estimates from Germany’s Federal Statistical Office, Destatis, consumer prices only rose by 1.6 percent compared to the previous year.
These figures show the lowest inflation has been since February 2021, when it stood at 1.5 percent.
