The operation, according to the GNR in a statement, aims to “combat crime and reduce situations that constitute risky behaviour in the context of road accidents, ensuring the fluidity of traffic in addition to supporting road users”.

The GNR says that during the period of the operation, a high intensity of road traffic is expected and, therefore, recommends drivers to drive prudently.
In this sense, the guard asks that drivers comply with traffic rules, especially with regard to overtaking maneuvers, changing direction, reversing direction, giving way and safe distance.
