Currently, 115 teachers from French and other French-speaking nations such as Canada, Senegal and Belgium work across 14 parishes, fostering language learning’s academic, creative and communicative benefits for students.

Organised by the Council for the Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL), the southern state has maintained this partnership for nearly 60 years and every scholastic year invites teachers from around the world to teach in Louisiana to preserve the city's unique heritage.
