This is a project by the civil construction group Tecnovia, in partnership with Valorpneu, an entity licensed to manage the Integrated Used Tyre Management System (SGPU), in an investment valued at around €100,000.
With this project, Tecnovia “becomes part of the Valorpneu National Collection Network, strengthening the efficiency and quality of the Used Tyre Management System in the municipalities of Baixo Alentejo and Alentejo Litoral”, the company explained in a statement sent to the Lusa agency.
According to Tecnovia, “this network plays a crucial role in the sustainable management of end-of-life tyres, minimising environmental impacts and encouraging recycling and reuse of materials, in alignment with the principles of the circular economy”.
The company also said that this collaboration with Valorpneu “represents a joint commitment to responsible waste management practices”.
“This partnership reinforces the mission of both entities to lead by example in the waste sector, promoting sustainability and a circular economy model”, he reinforced.
