The basket includes products such as extra virgin olive oil, cabbage, DOC Alentejo white wine, carolino rice, turkey leg, red potato, traditional carcass, eggs, cooking oil, pineapple, semi-skimmed UHT milk, cake flour, DOC red wine Douro, chocolate for cooking, cod and white sugar.
The main price changes compared to last week were seen in olive oil, with an increase of 9%, 15% in kale and 9% in turkey. Compared to the values at the beginning of the year, the chocolate bar for cooking rose by 43% and the Alentejo DOC white wine by 15%.
When compared to the same period in 2023, chocolate increased by 44% and cod and turkey increased by 18%.
Deco PROteste will carry out a weekly analysis of this basket to monitor the evolution of food prices.
In the statement sent to Lusa, Deco PROteste informs that between January 5, 2022 and the present date there were increases of 114% in olive oil, 72% in culinary chocolate tablets, 58% in carolino rice, 48% in flour for cake and 46% in potatoes and eggs.
