According to Maisfutebol, Cristiano Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr expires in June 2025, and a contract renewal is not assured. The Portuguese star could, however, switch teams for the upcoming campaign.
Financial concerns are not the only reason for a potential prolongation of the Riyadh club. The player's close friends and family reaffirm that Ronaldo’s top priority is to represent a team vying for major trophies.
With 25 points from 13 games so far this season, Al Nassr is only in fourth place in the Saudi Premier League. They lag behind Al Hilal (34) and Al Ittihad (36) as well as Al Qadisiyah (28).
Ronaldo has only won one tournament since joining Saudi football at the start of 2023: the 2023 Arab Champions Cup. He has, however, lost the League twice, once to Al Hilal (2023–24), led by Jorge Jesus, and once to Al Ittihad (2022–23). He hasn't done well in the Asian Champions League either.
From a personal stats perspective, the Portuguese striker is still doing well in Saudi Arabia. For instance, he scored a remarkable 50 goals in 51 official games during the previous season. He has now scored 16 goals in 19 games this season.
