The purpose of the event was to help the Salvation Army who are an incredible group of people, helping out local families in need all year round, but it’s especially difficult at Christmas. Also our local Bombeiros, who unfortunately are lacking in clothing and special equipment.
Julia Hammond was the organizer of the event, with lots of help from local business's family and friends. The event was a huge success, raising over 11.000€.
Julia would like to express a huge thank you to Tribulum for hosting the charity event, they were incredible! Great food, great service and a super atmosphere. Other businesses who donated amazing prizes which enabled us to raise so much money.
Julia’s restaurant, U&Co, Campus QDL, UGG and Hoka shoes, sound bunker studios, physiology session Jelena, Annie Natalie, Cathy Alan Luxury car transfers, Maharaja restaurant.
Also Howard’s Folly vineyard and Quinta do Lago golf course, auction prizes. plus a donation from Laranjal golf course, John Hammond Ltd and Quinta ladies.
The entertainment for the evening was Julia Hammond and Barbara Leitch, Barbara was a great help not only with the music but also behind the scenes. They performed to a packed dance floor. There was a special appearance by the Campus Choir, who blew the roof off. It wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa! Thank you so much for making an appearance! It was said, people hadn’t seen so many happy smiling faces in one place for a long time!
To sum up the evening, a wonderful time was had by all!
