American rail operator Amtrak is rolling out 28 next-generation Acela trains in the spring of 2025.

The NextGen Acela service aims to provide a more comfortable rider experience, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and generating jobs in the process.
These high-speed electric trains, costing a total of $2.45 billion, are set to replace the current fleet serving the Northeast Corridor after 4 years of delays to the project.
