Among the 18 capitals analysed (and with representative samples), the stock of houses for rent increased in 16 cities. It was Aveiro that led the increase in the supply of housing rentals in the last twelve months, having registered a significant increase of 111%.

There are also more houses for rent in Braga (80%), Lisbon (72%), Faro (72%), Leiria (70%), Funchal (66%), Porto (63%) and Coimbra (59%). With annual supply increases of less than 50%, there are Viana do Castelo (44%), Setúbal (43%), Bragança (38%), Castelo Branco (28%), Santarém (24%), Beja (14%), Vila Real (12%) and Guarda (11%).

The only two cities where there was a drop in the number of houses available for rent were Portalegre (-14%) and Ponta Delgada, in the Azores (-5%).
