Since the foundation stone of the new project was laid in June 2024, the works have not stopped, according to a report by Algarve Marafado.

Initially, those responsible for the investment fund that owns the space, the Belgian Mitiska Reim, assumed that the objective was to have the project completed and the retail ready to open in the first half of 2025.

And, given that the buildings have already been constructed and, apparently, most of the infrastructure is finished or in the process of being finished, it seems quite likely that this goal will be met, according to the publication.

The construction of this commercial space, which covers a gross area of more than 20,000 m2, is expected to cost around 20 million euros.

It will have 17 stores, including a supermarket and a construction and DIY materials store, as well as a food court and petrol station.

So far, the brands that will be installed there have not been announced, but, at the ceremony to lay the first stone, it was confirmed that some of them are not yet present in the Algarve region.

Once the project is completed, to keep this large commercial space in operation, it is expected that it will be necessary to hire more than two hundred workers.
