The ITF Portimão Open’25 will bring together two hundred athletes of different nationalities in the Praia da Rocha Sports Area, distributed in four different competitions.

The big news of this third edition of the event is the elevation of the main tournament status to BT100, with a prize pool of $10,000, which places the event among the most important on the international calendar.

In addition to the main event, which takes place between March 14th and 16th, a BT10 and a BTJ100 tournament will also be held for the junior category, giving young athletes the opportunity to compete in an international environment.

The ITF Beach Tennis Portimão Open 2025 venue consists of 11 beach tennis courts, equipped with stands for spectators who will be able to watch the competitions that are part of the world circuit organized by the International Tennis Federation free of charge.

Beach tennis, a sport that combines elements of tennis, volleyball and beach volleyball, has grown significantly in Portugal in recent years and has been developed locally since 2023 by the Portimão Beach Tennis Club, which has played a fundamental role in promoting the sport in the region.
