The festival is scheduled for the 16, 17 and 18 May at Castelo Branco Municipal Aerodrome.
The Beiras Airshow organisation told Lusa news agency that this edition promises to raise its level, bringing together some of the biggest names in world aerial acrobatics, as well as a strong corporate and business networking component.
Among the event's main attractions, the Yakstars stand out, one of the most impressive acrobatic teams today, known for their synchronised maneuvers and surprising formation flights, explained the organisation.
The festival will also feature the presence of several elite pilots, internationally recognised and winners of multiple awards, such as the world aerobatic champion Castor Fantoba, Luca Bertossio, aerobatic glider pilot and world champion, and Mélanie Astles, the first woman to compete in the Red Bull Air Race and multi-award winning pilot.
The Beiras Airshow also offers a Wing walking show with Spanish acrobat Ainhoa Sánchez defying gravity on a plane in flight.
In addition to the exhibition of these pilots, Beiras Airshow 2025 is committed to a diverse programme and a strong corporate and aeronautical innovation component, with a space dedicated to executive aviation and innovation, where new partnerships and businesses can be established.
It also features static aircraft displays and the Castelo Branco Fashion Show, a fusion between the tradition of embroidery and aviation.
During the festival there will also be a celebration of a Eucharist in honor of Our Lady of Loreto, a symbolic moment of celebration of the patron saint of aviators.
The Beiras Airshow is an annual air festival held at the Castelo Branco Municipal Aerodrome, which celebrates aviation and aeronautics in the Beira Interior region.
This event stands out for offering the public impressive air shows, aircraft exhibitions and various activities related to the aeronautical sector.
With the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) code LPCB, Castelo Branco Municipal Aerodrome is located in class G (GOLF) airspace.
In addition to the freedom that this classification gives it, it has characteristics that make visual meteorological conditions viable for flights operated under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) during every day of the year, this being one of the greatest qualities of this aeronautical infrastructure.
It is located five kilometers from the city center of Castelo Branco and has a paved runway that is 1,460 meters long and 30 meters wide.
The Aerodrome is surrounded by an ATZ, an airspace of defined dimensions established around an aerodrome for the protection of traffic.
