According to the map published on the portal, five Obstetrics and Gynaecology emergency rooms will be closed on Saturday: Garcia de Orta Hospital, in Almada; Nossa Senhora do Rosário Hospital, in Barreiro; Vila Franca de Xira Hospital, Caldas da Rainha District Hospital and Santo André Hospital, in Leiria.

On Sunday, the Obstetrics and gynaecology emergency department at Barreiro Hospital will reopen, with the emergencies for these specialties remaining closed at the other four hospitals.

In Setúbal, the gynaecology and Obstetrics emergency department at Hospital São Bernardo will only receive women referred by INEM.

The schedules, consulted by the Lusa agency at 10 am today, also foresee the closure during the weekend of the paediatric emergency services at Hospital Vila Franca de Xira and Hospital Beatriz Ângelo.

The paediatric emergency department at the Amadora-Sintra Hospital will be open on both days, between midnight and 8 am, and between 8 pm and midnight, and will only receive emergency cases that are internal or referred by the Urgent Patient Guidance Center of the National Institute of Medical Emergencies (INEM) or by the SNS 24 line. In total, 129 emergency departments will be open on Saturday, 29 of which will be open as part of the pilot project that requires users to call the SNS 24 Line before going to the hospital, two will be referred and seven will be closed.

On Sunday, the hospitals predict the opening of 129 emergency rooms. Thirty will be opened within the scope of the pilot project, two will be referenced and six will be closed.

The National Health Service portal urges users to contact the SNS 24 line (800 24 24 24) before going to the emergency room.
